Share Your Creative Place
This is where I am spending any spare time I can find these days. This room used to be Andrea's but as soon as she got married, within about 24 hours to be precise, it turned into my sewing room. I still have a daybed in there for the times we have company, but it also makes a great "table" to spread my projects out on. My machine is right in front of a window so I have great lighting. My drawers and shelves are all handy and my sewing machine table is Andrea's old desk. My husband cut the legs shorter so my machine is the right height for me to work on. I love this room!
I thought it would be fun if you all posted a picture of the place where you love to be creative. I tried to do a Mr. Linky, but I haven't been able to figure it out yet. So if you post a picture, let me know so I can come and see it.

I love it! You sound like me...it doesn't take much to completely change a room around!
I wish I were at home (instead of at work) to take a picture of my "stack" of fabric! A friend called me this morning and asked how I was doing on my "bedskirt"....I said, well I have one side of it done! (Two weeks now!!!) The "mood" just hasn't struck again! So Robin, inspire me....get me kicked back in gear!!
Another idea for a sewing table or desk (we did this once then gave it to a niece when she went to college) you take a door and let it rest on two filing cabinets (2-drawer)--one on each end! Viola! Instant desk! When we did ours, we painted it to match the filing cabinets and added a glass top and I put pictures of the girls and other family photos and clips of cards, mememtos---etc. You get the idea.
Anyway, thanks for sharing you craft station!!! I love and appreciate you!! (((HUG)))
Your space is wonderful. It looks a lot like mine actually. Day bed included. And my room was my son's room, which got painted yellow about 3 hours after he pulled out of the driveway :)
I'll have to post a picture sometime soon. I already posted something today as you know.
Keep sewing! I know you are having as much fun as I am.
I love that my leaving has brought you such great joy:)! You are funny!
Great space and room! And I love your machine....I have a Bernina. But don't have an organized space, I can't believe you and Becky changed your rooms around so fast after kids left! I still haven't done that but should work on it maybe. They live so far away I have to have places for them all to sleep when they come.
I might post a pic of mine soon, although the spot is messy right now!
Hey Robin! I put a picture up of my sewing space, at the top right now but might have to scroll down to it if I post something later. And did my reflection thingie too in the post under the "spaces" one.
My sewing space isn't nearly as purty as yours! You're all organized and mine is so not! I like your spot.
Love your space. We have an extra bedroom that I'd like to turn into this type of area. I think you've just given me the motivation to do just that!
Robin, I posted my (very sad) creative space.
By the way ... are you by any chance left handed?
I just found your blog through Karen and have had a fun time reading some of your entries. You creative space is beautiful and you are very lucky to have it. The very minute my daughter got married, my 15 year old son claimed her room!! My space is actually what we were going to call the mudroom--we are in the middle of cleaning it out--when it is done, I will post pictures of it. Maybe this weekend?
*smiles*
