Just a quick note to let you know that my grandson, Tyler Bradley, has finally arrived. Yesterday, when I said I thought it would be a long day for Michelle and the baby - I had no idea. It was a long and brutal labor and delivery. Tyler was born at 6:16 a.m. Monday morning after a 30 hour labor.
Today this is what I know:
my daughter is an incredibly strong and strong-minded person
my son-in-law is tender and loving - and he LOVES my daughter the same way my husband loves me
my husband is an incredible father to a laboring daughter
my younger daughters are invaluable labor coaches
our family works well together through stress, pain, and fear and joy
I am totally in love with my little 6 pound grandson
When there are no words adequate - when there are no thoughts comprehendable - there are lots and lots of happy tears. (They just won't stop flowing)
and
our lives have been forever changed.

All that hair! Love it! Love him! Can't wait to meet him! Please give Michelle and everyone all our love. We miss you and so wish we could be there to get our hands on that little guy!!!
Oh he's so adorable! And look at all that hair, so cute.
30 hours, wow! I'm so glad for her it's over now...congratulations to your daughter and hubby and your whole family! I know it's so exciting for you.
YEEEEAAAHHHH! I was so excited when I heard. Tyler...what a strong (cute) name! I am so proud of Michelle for a 30 hour labor and Brad for sticking with her. I am so happy for all of you. I admire you for keeping him such a secret, Robin. You are one trustworthy friend. Yesterday I told Mesa that Michelle was going to have her baby very soon. Then I told her, "We will have to check Robin's blog to see what it will be." Mesa looked very puzzled and said, "Robin has a blog about Captain Michelle?" I laughed out loud and told her even when your kids grow up you can still blog about them because you still love them very much. Pretty funny. So happy for you all!
I can't tell you how happy I am for you Robin. And yes, your life changed today in a way that's going to constantly amaze you for rest of your own life.
Your poor daughter. I know about watching your daughter labor like that. In our case it ended in surgery, but my word, how she suffered for two days. I'm sorry it was so hard for her, but it sounds like she had a whole family full of support surrounding her.
He's absolutely gorgeous. Oh, I know how much you already love him!
Hi . . . I've been lurking at your blog for a while now, and just had to de-lurk long enough to say Congratulations on the birth of your little grandson! I just couldn't resist! LOL He is precious, and I know you are so proud of your daughter and her little family. God bless you!
Tyler is absolutely beautiful! WE can't wait to meet him ~ I hope we don't have to wait until he is nearly two!
Give Michelle and Brad a big hug and let them know how excited we are for them. Praying Michelle heals quickly.

Robin,
I am so excited for your whole family. My kids think his name should be Captain Tyler. Regan said, "Captain Brad is the Daddy and Captain Michelle is the Mommy. I thought it was funny.
