And So His Blessings Just Keep Raining Down

I am still adjusting to the idea of being a grandmother in just a few months. Don't get me wrong - I am totally loving it. But the adjustment is in the psychological idea that I am old enough! Maybe it's a pride issue! But it has been so much fun. And I have enjoyed every single moment of it. I want to be the best grandmother I can possibly be.

So imagine our total and complete delight, when daughter #3 - Andrea, announced that she and Jayson are expecting a baby too! So I am not only going to have one grandbaby this year - I am going to have two! I find this completely and totally amazing! Why is God blessing me so?

I'm so thrilled to think there will be two little cousins close in age to grow up together. They are even next door neighbors! Isn't is perfect?

And one thing is for sure. These babies are going to be very, very warm. I keep finding the most adorable quilt patterns and I can't stop myself. They will definitly be swaddled babies!

2008 is a very huge year for our family. Here is what we are celebrating this year:

Our 30th wedding anniversary
Our 20th anniversary pastoring our church
My daughter Andrea's college graduation
My daughter Jessica's high school graduation
First grandbaby in June
Second grandbaby in October
My 50th birthday in November. Which means I will be a grandmother of two before I am 50. Hee hee - my husband cannot claim the same!

We were planning a family trip to Italy in December to celebrate everything. But now that there are two babies coming, that idea has been put away for a while.

Sigh. I don't think it gets any better than this - does it? Because I don't think my heart can take any more.

I can't think of anything better - unless we all got to meet in heaven! Wow, that's a lot of excitement for one year. We had a lot of occasions last year, and it was fun to celebrate.

I was 52 when I got my first grandchild - by marriage. He's my daughter's stepson, but he's been part of our life since he was 2. But I got married much older than you, I think!

20 years at your church - that's quite a milestone. Back in the day, if a pastor stayed 5 years, it was a long time.

And the cousins next door to each other is amazing. How fun is that? Lots of fun I'd say.

Wow! Congratulations, Grandmax2!

I am considerably older than you are and just got my first grandbaby.

I'm thinking the only thing better would be to win the lottery (just kidding!).
