For The Love of Books

Beth Moore has a fun post going on over at LPM. She has challenged everyone to leave a comment on their favorite book. Wow! Choosing a favorite book is super-duper hard. Nearly impossible. I love so many of them. But I finally chose Francine River's, Mark of the Lion series. And it is really three books - but they are all one story. Does that make sense? You could never read just one and not the others.

I am happy to see that "Redeeming Love" has been entered so many times as well. If you haven't read that book - you really, really, really need to.

If you haven't been over to LPM yet, get a pad of paper and a pencil and prepare to spend some time jotting down must-read books! And prepare to spend some time there - as of now there are 1094 comments!

I know this last weekend at our Ladies Retreat, we had the opportunity to purchase books from Robin Lee Hatcher. It was like Christmas! I'm dying to know how the reading is going? I think her favorite book of mine is "The Forgiving Hour" followed by "Firstborn". I bought some new ones that I haven't read yet and I'm looking forward to starting those.

Life is good when it is filled with books!

I loved the Mark of the Lion series so much, when I finished it, I gave it away on my blog because I just had to share it with at least one more person. Redeeming Love was wonderful too, but Mark of the Lion was one of the best stories I've ever read.

I stopped by to see how you're holding up - sounds like you're coming to terms with having them so far away. I know this is really hard for you. But you seem to be doing much better now. I'm glad.

Robin,
I couldn't resist stopping by and admiring your blog here! As one writer to another, I an encouraged and inspired:) I love anything by F. Rivers and you listed the Mitford series which I forgot to add to my favorite books column on my blog! Guess I'd better do that. In fact, I just found a book of Father Tim's quotes by her called "A Continual Feast" and it really is! God bless you!

Wow, I don't think I"ll go over - I would be there for days! But I will definitely take your advice on the Mark of the Lion series - haven't heard of that. I LOVED Redeeming Love.

I haven't heard of your retreat speaker either, but will be checking her out for sure.

Hi, Robin! I really enjoy your blog - after learning about it from Jackie, who just happens to be pastor's wife! I also am following Michelle's blog and keep up with them in Peru. Meeting Michelle and sweet little Tyler - and hearing their story was so inspiring. But I can't imagine how bittersweet it's been for you. They are in our prayers.

I noticed that you and I have the same favorite books . Redeeming Love is my all-time favorite, along with all the Hatcher and Rivers books. I just bought The Perfect Life by Hatcher today.
