One of my most favorite things about being a grandmother is watching my children parent. There's just something about watching them love their babies - it just warms my heart.
Last night Andrea and Miss Ava were playing together before her bath and I caught this little video on my camera. Miss Ava loves her mama!
Another favorite grandmother thing is buying or making sweet clothes for the babies. I loved dressing my girls in sweet clothes and I get so much enjoyment doing special things for Tyler and Ava. Last week I was at Kohl's looking for picture frames. I tried to stay away from the baby department, really I did. But somehow I found myself walking towards the racks of baby clothes and I found a rack that stopped me dead in my tracks. It had the sweetest little girl seersucker summer dresses I ever saw.
First there was this:
And then there was this:
And this:
I couldn't decide what was cuter. So in true grandmotherly fashion, I bought them all! Sweet Miss Ava is going to be so cute this summer in her little sundresses.
Now all we need is some warm weather.

They do have adorable clothes for kids at Kohl's. They're all 3 just precious.
We need a squirrel feeder, I guess, because they keep stealing from the birds. They are fun to watch, even when they're being burglars. What is a squirrel feeder like?
Baby kisses! They are so sweet. I stopped to talk to a couple the other day in the store. Their granddaughter, about 4 yrs old, was with them and I had never spoken to her more than hello.
Well ... she and I just had the best conversation. All about Hannah Montana and how she kissed a cowboy and how she say the movie and ate too much popcorn and then threw up all over her bed. She just went on and on and all I did was give her a few minutes and talk to her.
When she was done and I was going on my way she called me back. "You need a hug!" She said. And she gave me the biggest, sweetest, most loving hug. It was heaven!!
Wet baby kisses! So sweet! The video is just precious. I think you did the right thing in snatching up all three dresses. Each one is cuter than the next!
There's nothing like those baby kisses, that's the cutest video!
I can't stay out of the kids section of stores either, it's too fun. Kohl's has great stuff I think...as I looked at your finds they got cuter and cuter! You did great getting them all.
Oh Robin, that video made me LONG for days gone by! I loved it when my babies would grab my hair underneath and try to "eat my face" ...wow.
And how could a gramma ever stay away from baby girl clothes?
I tagged you with a bloggy sister award if you have time to come for a visit...
I read Michelle's latest post and thought of how hard that must have been for you to read. But she's going to be okay!
