Bird Attack

This is what happens every time we go outside these days.  We have about a dozen blackbird nests in our front and back yards.  Anytime we go outside anymore we get dive bombed.  These parent birds are so brave that they actually taunt the cat by hopping within just feet of her, trying to distract her from the nests.  Sadly, this morning it appeared that the cat was enjoying a breakfast of baby bird.  Hopefully, all those baby blackbirds will safely fly the coop soon so we can have our yard back again.

Oh, that poor baby bird! I hope they fly the coop soon, too.

Thanks for coming over and your sweet comment today. It's funny how sometimes you pour your heart and soul into a post and hardly anybody visits, isn't it?

I hope you're having a good day!

That's odd - what does it say?

That is amazing. They are so protective. With good reason I guess. I think our birds choose our porch for the very reason that we are the only house on the block without a cat or 5.

If you are in the crafting mood, here are the cutest little strawberry pin cushions - or you could use them as decor

I love birds but I don't love blackbirds at all! No fun to get dive bombed.
Around here mockingbirds do that to the cat.
