Random Things

I have been tagged by Mom Tu-Tu to do the 8 Random Things meme. Here are the rules I found over at her place.

Here are the rules:
1. Each player starts with 8 random facts/habits about themselves.
2. People who are tagged write a blog post about their own 8 random things and post these rules.
3. At the end of your blog you need to tag 8 people and post their names.
4. Don't forget to leave them a comment and tell them they're tagged, and to read your blog.

Eight Random Things About Me:

1) I LOVE LOVE LOVE Diet Dr. Pepper - it is the best ever.

2) I am absolutely terrified of snakes. Two summers ago I stumbled across a 4 1/2 foot snake all stretched out in my back yard and I have felt violated ever since. I just can't enjoy my yard like I used to - I am constantly on the look out for snakes. But weirdly enough, I can't stop myself from watching snake shows on Animal Planet and National Geographic - go figure! I probably need to see a therapist or something!

3) I don't like Sunday night church. A little strange I suppose since I am a pastor's wife and all - but maybe not so much. I am so involved in many church things and am involved in evening church activities AT LEAST two other week nights and Sunday night just seems like a nice evening to rest and relax and prepare for the upcoming week. I'm just saying.

4) I am a news addict. By the way, I just learned that the word news is an acronym for: north, east, west, and south. (How's that for random!)

5) I hate onions but I love onion rings.

6) I have never been the driver in a car accident.

7) Hawaii is my most favorite place to go ever. My husband and I went there on our 25th anniversary and it was the happiest time. I live for the day when we get to go back again. I hope it's soon!

8) I would love to own/operate a Bed and Breakfast someday. I doubt if it will ever happen but I'm collecting breakfast recipe's just in case!

I am tagging:
Lisa at jus' ramblin'
Bunny Trails
Sharon at Sit With Me Awhile
Betty at On the Journey to Victory
Marianne at M'sMnMs-Musings, Madness, and Chocolate (I love her header of M&M's)
Elizabeth at Inside Betty's Head
Annie and Flower Garden I love her header of roses!
and YOU!

Robin,
I saw your comment on Patti's blog and recognized you so I thought I would check in and see how you were doing and I noticed you tagged me. I was suprised and thrilled. Since I've started blogging I have only been personally tagged once. Funny how little things can make you smile. Thank you! I'm off (with a smile) to work on that post. You made my day!

I did NOT know that about news! My husband is a news junkie - I can't wait to tell him.

Funny stuff!

I am a pastor's wife and I hate Sunday night church too. I never knew I hated it until we started at a church that did not have it. Hooray!! A Whole. New. World. Really!

I am also a news addict and terrified of snakes (I can go all the way back to a terrible memory at age 5 to tell where that fear started).

However, one wierd thing about me is I NEVER drink soda. Never. Not in 21 years. How strange is that??

Hey, Robin, I got my list up. I didn't tag 8 people though, because too many have played already. But it's still fun. I'm with you (partially) on the Dr. Pepper, but I don't do diet. Enjoy! :D

I'm surprised at the Sunday night church thing- but it does make sense! I try not to leave my house at ALL after sundown! I am becoming such a homebody!

Thanks for the tag--I promise to get to it next week. Just finished two tags to I'll have to think up some really news worthy stuff for yours. ;)
I was raised in church. Every time the doors were opened you would find us there.
As I got older I began to realize I loved the place and the people but I did not have to be there every time the door opened. We live about 45 minutes from our church and it is rough on Sunday to go to church go home fix lunch get the kids down for a nap and then turn around and go back to church that night.
I was blessed a year or two ago when everyone decided we did not have to follow Baptist tradition of the Sunday evening service.
Now we are there on Sunday morning and Wednesday night and I am back another time during the week for women's group. That is way plenty. Do we really think God wants us to come to church to fulfill some duty? And, am I wrong or is Sunday not supposed to be a day of rest. Girl most times I was so tired from Sunday-- Monday was miserable.
I pray you get a little break.

I have never like Sunday evening service either--we have always gone, but I have always wished we could stay home and enjoy each other. My hubby works very long hours, and I would love to have Sunday night with him. I had never heard that acronym for news--how cool. I will have to impress everyone with that bit of knowledge!

Thanks for participating with me! I enjoyed reading your list. And, emetophobia is a fear of vomiting, it makes being a mom tough sometimes!

Thanks for stopping by my blog. Wow, you do a good job on the book reviews and loved your 8 things. I'm not a fan of Sunday evening church either. I prefer to "try" and spend some of Sunday just relaxing.

Nice blog!!
